Principal Designer Representative/CDM Adviser
An opportunity for one full time & one part time (possibly 3 days per week) dedicated, energetic Health & Safety/CDM professional has arisen within a respected North East Construction and Property Consultancy. With excellent prospects, the role will be working closely with our Clients and their appointed Contractors/Designers as Principal Designer Representative/CDM Adviser across a portfolio of projects which include Healthcare, Housing and Social Care, energy, aviation and historical. We are also currently developing the service to include delivery of Health & Safety training, plus Health & Safety Audits/Inspections.
The ideal candidate(s) will have extensive knowledge of, plus strong experience in the Principal Designer/CDM Adviser role preferably with a Project Management/Design/Construction background. The person(s) will hold a minimum of a NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate, plus have membership of the Association of Project Safety (APS) at Incorporated (IMaPS), Certified (CMaPS) level. A minimum of Technician (Tech IOSH) level of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) would also be an advantage. The person(s) should also be able to demonstrate 10 years Construction/Property experience, plus be competent to carry out Construction site H&S inspections and audits. Both roles will cover the North East, North West with occasional travel to Yorkshire and Scotland, hence a full driving license is required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with CDM 2015 (and 2007 before that);
NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate;
Background in Project Management, Design or Construction with 10 years Construction experience and a related qualification;
APS and/or IOSH membership;
CSCS card (Professionally Qualified Person preferred).
